$111,947 Life-to-Date - Approximately $12,500 Per Year Since 2011!

Sadly, breast cancer doesn’t sleep during a pandemic. But neither does the MyGlassTruck Campaign to Fight Breast Cancer. Since September 2011 MyGlassTruck has donated a portion of the cost of every glass rack, truck body, or trailer we sell to our local chapter of Susan G. Komen.

We’re proud to report that lifetime-to-date those donations total $111,947, enough to fund 746 mammograms! And, in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic we’ve raised $10,188 since March 2020. MyGlassTruck is proud to raise funds for an organization that assists individuals in battling breast cancer today, while supporting scientific research to find a cure in the future.

Some of you may have seen our pink themed booth and glass trucks at industry trade-shows and events across the country. In fact, our signature pink booth has been voted “Best in Show” at GlassBuild America, the largest glass industry show in the nation. To encourage donations beyond our customer campaign we’ve also produced and given away thousands of breast cancer awareness t-shirts, bumper stickers, and tote bags.

Our local chapter, Susan G. Komen New Jersey, puts most our donation to work with others in our local community to support women who need breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and support services. A portion of the donations also go toward financial assistance for treatment costs for under-insured or uninsured breast cancer patients. What’s left, is added to a national pool of funds promoting prevention and medical research aimed at finding a cure to breast cancer forever.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by breast cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, 1 in 8 women born in the United States today will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives. Komen’s and our goal is to reduce that to zero.

We’re encouraging you to do what you can to help whether it’s donating or volunteering. Rustin Cassway, President of MyGlassTruck, one of the DCI Group of Companies says, “Supporting those with breast cancer and helping efforts to find a cure is extremely important to MyGlassTruck. We must make sure these sisters, daughters, and mothers are not forgotten during the Covid-19 pandemic. We’re humbled to have the opportunity to make a difference with our fundraising campaign and would like to thank our customers and team members for helping make it happen”.
